What Causes Body Aches?

Performing regular activities can be difficult when you are in extreme pain. Sometimes our body pains due to a rigorous workout session or hard work, but at other times it might be associated with injuries, flu, fever, etc. One can bear body ache for two to three day, but if this unpleasant sensation in our body lasts for more than three days, it is a matter of concern. Your body pain can be acute or chronic. Acute pain can be the cause of an injury or surgery. It suddenly occurs, but diminishes gradually. Chronic pain can occur with no apparent cause and can last for weeks or even years. If you are experiencing chronic pain, it can hamper your regular activities.

What causes body aches?

There can be multiple underlying reasons why your body aches. Following is the list of the reasons that may cause body pain.

Flu

Flu, also known as influenza is an infection that occurs due to virus. The virus infects your lungs, nose, and throat and cause flu. Most people experience severe body pain and fever when they have flu. Your body aches when you fall ill because it releases chemicals to fight infections. Aspirin and ibuprofen can help in relieving pain during flu.

Poor posture

Lack of sleep impacts your brain negatively. So, try establishing a consistent sleeping schedule every night and take at least 6 hours of sleep to rejuvenate your damaged brain and body cells.

Vitamin D deficiency

When you don’t have enough vitamin D in your body, it can cause low calcium level in your body. Our bones, kidneys and muscles majorly rely on calcium. Due to deficiency of vitamin D, you may lose your bone density and strength, which will lead to joint pains. Other symptoms of vitamin D deficiency include body cramps, muscle twitching, dizziness, numbness, etc.
